    1. Food Hertfordshire Loyalty+ Scheme Terms and Conditions.

      1. The Food Hertfordshire Loyalty+ Scheme (the "card") is a multifunction loyalty and pre-paid catering scheme, accessible through cards or mobile phone app, operated by MCR Systems (MCR) on behalf of the University of Hertfordshire, College Lane, Hatfield, Hertfordshire, AL10 9AB. ("UH")

      2. These Terms and Conditions relate to the use of the card at Food Hertfordshire Outlets on Campus, (which excludes Hertfordshire Students’ Union) by you (the "Cardholder").

      3. Applicants must be UK residents aged over 16.

      4. The Card can be used as a Loyalty Card to accrue Points on all purchases at FoodHertfordshire catering outlets at a rate of 3 points for each complete £1 spent. Points cannot be accrued on the following purchases – Alcoholic drinks; tobacco; infant milks; postage stamps; newspapers; lottery tickets and PayZone or cash back.

      5. You will only be able to redeem your Loyalty points against future purchases made in relevant participating outlets and the cash redemption value of each point is 1 pence. The number of points used will be deducted from your card.

      6. When using your card to make a part or full payment, all available points must be redeemed against the purchase.

      7. Points cannot be added to the card after the completion of a purchase.

      8. The Card is free of charge and can be obtained from most FoodHertfordshire Outlets. The Card remains the property of UH. Whilst the Card is being used it remains the responsibility of the Cardholder and UH cannot be held responsible for the loss of Points or other cash purses from loss of the Card or unauthorised use. The Card cannot be sold or traded and can only be used by the Cardholder for personal purchases at the Food Hertfordshire restaurants and cannot be used to accrue Points on pre-paid Food Vouchers.

      9. The Cardholder may cancel the Card at any time but all accrued Loyalty Points will be lost and Points have no monetary value.

      10. UH reserve the rights to refuse to redeem points if not used for a period of 12 months or if Points are acquired by fraud, theft or any other means contrary to these Terms and Conditions.

      11.Only the person who has applied and registered for the card can use it. The card is non-transferrable and can only be used in FoodHertfordshire outlets for your own use. FoodHertfordshire will check ID on redemption of points and may refuse to redeem points if the card presented is not in the card-holders name.

      12. Any accounts that have been inactive for over 18 months will be closed. Refunds will not be available after 18 months or more of inactivity.

      13. UH reserve the right to withdraw the Loyalty+ Card Scheme from circulation or change these Terms and Conditions by providing prior written notice to the Cardholder.

      14. Any funds that have been added by an individual through the online payment system cannot be refunded unless and application is made in writing to hospitality@herts.ac.uk explaining why the refund is required. Refunds will be made via a cheque payment and will take up to 30 days to process. The minimum amount for any refund is £10. Refunds of Loyalty points, Gift awards or Scholarships awards are not permitted.

      15. By signing up for a Loyalty+ card you agree to UH providing MCR with the personal details you have submitted online for the purposes of administering the Food Hertfordshire Loyalty+ Card Scheme. This personal information will only be used for the purposes of administering the Food Hertfordshire Loyalty+ Card Scheme and for the promotion of other Food Hertfordshire offers and no other purpose.

      16. Use of the card and successful sign up to redeem points shows that you have read and accept these Terms and Conditions.
